Faurecia is a company amalgamated in 1997 between two companies: Bertrand Faure a specialist in spring-based seat cushions for the automotive industry and ECIA; a Peugeot subsidiary and manufacturer of seats, front ends and vehicle interiors. Today the company is one of the leaders in automotive technologies consisting of four business area divisions including: automotive seating, automotive exteriors, interior systems and emissions control technologies. Each of the divisions is a leader in its business area internationally. The company has also grown to be known as a pioneer in technological innovations able to reduce the weight of vehicles. Faurecia is constantly developing new manufacturing processes that are set to revolutionize its production methods. Moreover they strive to offset the environmental impact of their activities, whether in designing products or in defining and managing production processes.

Faurecia Exhaust in Sidwell, Port Elizabeth is a good company.It has state of the art technology but its senior management needs to be changed. Workers's morale is on the very low level.They keep on firing workers with no reasonable basis. There's no transparency in the senior management.
