Power Construction’s core purpose is ‘to improve the quality of life in Africa through infrastructure development’. The Group operates nationally from four regional offices: Cape Town, Knysna, Port Elizabeth and Centurion. This is one of the more progressive employers in the construction sector. Operating in a turbulent economic climate and ailing sector is not easy. Management has fortunately opted to take responsible decisions to secure employment and continuity of the business. Credible management team!

When I first started working for Power Construction, it was the best place to be and that was in 2006. Now I would not recommend the company to any one. To go to work in the morning you have to drag yourself out of bed. The values of the company are 'cares for people.' I don't see that happening at all. The company does not value its employees at all. Firstly, Mr Graham Power never even thought of the employees that started the company. They still live in shacks while his busy preaching the word of God all over the world. while his house is in shambles. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing but respect for the man. you can not take away anything that he has built, but he did not do it alone. I am very sorry to say i only come to work because i have to, not because I enjoy it and I want to be here, it's not fun anymore. Managers that swear at their people, when your child is sick, they tell you if it's not life or death you can't take them to the doctor. You can't support you fellow colleagues if parents dies, you cant even go to the funeral. We have not even received bonuses for the past 2 years, and yet our contracts says we work Saturdays and overtime that gets accumulated into a bonus so basically we have been working for free all the extra hours. But our big bosses can go on overseas trips and change cars left right and center.
