The ideal candidate will need to Have :

Over 4 years’ experience in a Telephony-Network administrator support position, working in a 1000 plus user size company where you’ve been responsible for multiple systems telephony and data network management?


The Key Objectives, Duties and Responsibilities of the System Administrator – Telephony and Networks are to :

• Provide Avaya telephony and relevant system setup, support, backups, health checks, performance and maintenance to the organisation (24x7 support)

• Provide HP LAN (LAN+Wifi LAN) and relevant system setup, support, backups, health checks, performance and maintenance to the organisation (24x7 support)

• Manage and monitor Network and Telephony 3rd party service providers and vendors (WAN, ISP, other) through contract and SLA management

• Monitor and manage Telephony Disaster recovery

• Monitor and manage the Disaster Recovery LAN environments

• Capture and update Telephony and Network related support calls through the organisation’s IT support helpdesk system

• Manage own IT support call technical assignments and according to set the organisations Service Level agreements

• Manage Telephony and Network related incidents according to the set organisations SLA

• After hour support and task executions will be required and includes occasional co-ordination and execution of project related tasks

• Manage relevant vendors and contracts

• Manage end user UTP and other network cable installations (including cable vendor management)

• Manage all Organisation server room and communications room cabling and patching

• Avaya end user phone management , including telephony related LAN switch management switch management and end user cabling

• HP Local Area Network
• LAN –HP 54xx ,29xx,28xx,26xx Switches
• HP LAN Wi-Fi MSM430 AP’s ,6001, MSM760 Controller
• Intermediate to advanced HP CLI operating experience
• HP LAN equipment trouble shooting

• ADSL router setup
• Wi-Fi AP and ADSL Wi-Fi router and client set up administration
• Avaya Telephony Disaster recovery / failover .
