One of our Clients, specializing in Investments, currently has a vacancy available for a Investment Administrator. They are based in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town .

A vacancy has arisen in the Investment Operations Team with focus on Client Take-On and investments. You should have an acumen for numbers and have excellent interpersonal and excel
skills.

The primary responsibilities of the role are:

 

  • · End-to-End activities and query resolution relating to Take-on, Disinvestments and Transfers of client assets
  • · Processes include new client take-on, in specie transfers, carve outs and terminations.
  • · Accurate and timeous update of the Investment Administration system with transactions linked to a Transition.
  • · Initiate and manage internal meetings relating to a Transition
  • · Manage relationships both internally (e.g. Client Services, Investment Team) and externally (e.g. Client,
  • Client Consultant, Transition Manager, Custodians)
  • · Opening of bank, custody and market accounts where required
  • · Adherence to internal policies and procedures
  • · Timeous communication and escalation to all relevant parties
  • · Identification of process gaps and implementation of more efficient processes.
  • · Ownership of the control certification process and ongoing review for improvement.
  • · Responsible for other functions within the team (e.g. New Account Opening, Maintenance of Benchmark Portfolios)

  • Basic job requirements

  • · An appropriate tertiary qualification, preferably a commerce degree
    · Minimum of 5 years working experience in an investment environment (previous experience in a transitions management role advantageous)
    · Strong interpersonal skills (including excellent verbal and written communication)
    · Good understanding of financial markets, financial instruments and client types.
    · In-depth understanding of investment transactions and the accounting impacts
    · High level of computer literacy, with advanced excel skills (Invest One experience advantageous).
