Cradock is a town found in the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa, in the upper valley of the Great Fish River, 292 kilometers by rail northeast of Port Elizabeth. The town is one of the Cape's leading centers of the wool industry. Cradock also produces beef, dairy, fruit, and mohair. The neighbouring region, found a few herds of mountain zebras survive, is now protected by game laws. Thanks to the towns hot sulphur springs, Cradock has a reputation as one of the top health resorts in the province. It stands at a height of 871 meters (2856 ft), and 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) north of the town the sulphur bath (temp 38°C) are used for the treatment of rheumatism.
