Lazarus was admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa in 2008. He is a commercial, and corporate law specialist with expertise in commercial litigation, and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). He has expertise also in labour, and employment law. Lazarus has an LLB from UNISA’s college of law. A BA Journalism from Rhodes University’s school of Journalism and Media Studies as well as a Postgraduate diploma in Industrial Relations from Natal University. Following High school, Lazarus worked in various capacities for the Education department, Transvaal Alloys, and Transnet. His last job was a legal adviser for PetroSA.
