I am a young qualified instrumentation mechanician from Arcelor Mittal Works. My objective is to work and associate with a good company where I can implement my skills that I gained during the course of my experience and be an asset to the company. I qualified in 2014 in the field of instrumentation mechanician. I worked with ABB in the Blast Furnace D plant in Vanderbijlpark as an instrument mechanician relining and refurbishing the sole blast furnace control system at the plant. With the ABB system we controlled the overall process including stockhouse and charging, the bell-less top, the casthouse, hot blast stoves, slag treatment, gas cleaning water cooling system and pulverized coal preparation and injection. My competencies include: Calibration of field instruments, flow, level pressure and temperature. Configuration and set-up on the field. ABB, Allen Bradley and Siemens S7. Rockwell, Siemens AC and DC drive configurations and setup. Fault-finding and loop checks, PLC programming, SCADA design and optimization of instruments. Architecture, Ethernet and Control configurations. Computer literacy MS Office, word and excel. Troubleshooting and resolving electronic, electrical and process control equipment in refinary plant and industrial/metal plant/environment. Good analytic and maintenance techniques and process control systems. Faultfinding and sound knowledge of PLC systems and softwares. I passed my trade test as an instrument mechanician and completed theoretical and practical courses and successfully completed in record time.
