I started at the South African Police Service as a Typist during June 2000 for Area Logistics, Area Johannesburg and received more responsibilities regarding secretarial and reception duties. I also assisted with the facilitation projects at the SAPS. I have experience in the SAPS PERSAL and PERSAP database system. During April 2004, I was transferred internally to the Office of the Area Commissioner, Area Johannesburg, from Typist to Personal Assistant, where I worked closely with Assistant Area Commissioner, Mr. OD Reddy. I can maintain confidentiality, as I handled a lot of confidential correspondence, and I am able to work independently. I worked alone for a period of 3 months while the Area Commissioner was out of town and his Staff Officer being promoted. In August 2005 I left the SAPS and joined Themba Consultants, where I was a Personal Assistant to 3 Directors and also acted as Receptionist from time to time. In February 2008, I started at Orange Financial Holdings as a Project Co-Coordinator, Personal Assistant to 3 Directors, 1 CEO, and also as Receptionist from time to time. In February 2014 I started working at Evergreen Lifestyle Village as Administrator / Personal Assistant and Assistant Village Manager from time to time. I reported to the Village Manager, Mr. Roy Martin. We managed the village which consists of 130 houses and 48 apartments with more than 230 residents living in the Village. During the Covid-19 pandemic that started in 2020, I had left Evergreen after being with them for 6 years to be able to work from home. I started a business called The Grand Hustle (Pty) Ltd, which is a supplying company. We specialize in Promotional- and Corporate Gifting, Apparel and also supply a variety of PPE and Covid-19 essentials. I have a Matric N.S.C. (National Senior Certificate) Secretarial qualification. I have 20 years working experience in the administration field. I am able to compile and type agendas and minutes for meetings. I have advanced computer and computer software (MS Office) experience and believe in striving towards excellent human relation and customer service. I have excellent organizational skills and good formulation and writing skills in English and Afrikaans. I am mature, energetic, flexible, well organized, committed, excellent team player and can also work independently, strong on self-direction, outgoing and lively, self-starter with client focused attitude, well-groomed and can also work under extreme pressure. I also have a high degree of professionalism and communicate confidently and effectively at all levels; demonstrates initiative and confidentiality, both independently and within a team environment. I am now looking at expanding on my skill set in a forward thinking and exciting company. I possess a grade 12 certificate. During February 2004, I studied at UNISA and did a one-year certificate course in Advanced Project Management. I received 70% for my report and obtained my certificate in 2005. I have advanced competency in the Microsoft package and accept a challenge as great motivation. I was born with a talent for client service and have excellent proficiency in English and Afrikaans. I do believe that Personal Assistants are the most important key within a company; therefore, it is imperative to choose the perfect candidate.
