We are looking for an organised and experienced accounting clerk to manage the financial bookkeeping of our business. Responsibilities include analysing all financial activities, ensuring compliance with accounting and legal requirements. You should have relevant work experience and knowledge of accounting competencies, and administration skills. Required to successfully contribute to the organization's financial efficiency, control and maintenance of records.

Start date: As soon as possible.
Salary: Will be determined on experience level. Please provide details on your salary expectation.
Location: Moreleta Park, Pretoria East - you will be required to work at the Office. Ensure you have reliable transport and a valid driver's license.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Knowledge and competency in accounting principles / Familiar with financial regulations, i.e. GAAP.
• Compliance with accounting and tax laws. VAT controls and submissions.
• Maintaining, verifying and reviewing financial records.
• Account reconciliations.
• Evaluating internal management systems, procedures, and risks in order to provide recommendations.
• Preparing relevant financial documents, statements and reports.
• Communicate with customers and suppliers.
• Dealing with any account and/or financial administration queries.
• Asset register and inventory management and control.
• Provide internal auditing services and controls.
• General administration duties.
• Budgeting experience and skills is advantageous.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's degree in B. Com Accounting OR similar (if you have no degree, then you need to show that your experience in the workplace is on industry standard and that you can comply with current industry regulation, principles and procedures).
• At least 3 years’ experience in financial accounting, post articles.
• Proficiency in Excel and Sage.
