A firm that specializes in industrial chemicals, equipment, and services for Pulp and Paper, Leather, and Water Treatment which includes the sugar, mining, paint, petroleum industries, power industry, and performance is seeking for an Accounting Service Manager to join their team in Hammarsdale.

This position requires 3-5 years post qualifying CA experience in a middle management role. The successful candidate will be a qualified CA. Registration with the Professional Accounting Body, a CIMA qualification and/ or a post graduate management qualification will be advantageous. This individual must be competent in Microsoft Office, Business Intelligence Software and Company Specific Information Systems (Experience with BAAN or a similar ERP package).
Advanced knowledge in the following: financial management principles; enterprise wide risk management principles & policies; financial & management accounting; IFRS & US GAAP; relevant financial and company legislation; tax regulations; capital budgeting principles and concepts; business internal controls& systems; corporate governance principles& policies and financial modeling (forecasting, budgeting, etc.). Good knowledge and understanding of financial instruments, relevant policies and procedures, project portfolio management principles, contract management principles, core business principles and SHE policies, procedures& legislation is required.
The incumbent will be responsible for the following inter alia:
• Effectively managing the Accounting Services function, Accounts Payable & Fixed Assets
• Ensuring sound budgeting and budget control
• Managing the financial reporting function
• Assisting the Financial Manager in effective tax management
• Effective Corporate Governance, cash management and inventory valuation management
• Effective management of employee remuneration and payroll systems
• Lead, direct and manage the Accounts Services team
• Maintaining and improving SHERQ performance within the department
• Managing and implementing Continuous Improvements and Projects for the department
