• Fellow Actuary specialising in Non-Life
• Min 8 years’ relevant work experience
• Advanced understanding of the components of SCR of a Non-Life insurer as prescribed by the prudential standards.
• Cell captive specific experience advantages
• Understanding of relevant legislation, ie. Insurance act, Prudential standards, IFRS 4 and IFSR17
• Advanced understanding of triangulation methods including large loss reserving methods and liability valuation methods

• Manage an actuarial team responsible for analytical analysis and capital modelling, to ensure financial stability clients and provide modelling
support for the valuation of IFRS 17 compliant technical provisions.
• Play a leading role in the analysis of results, liaising with auditors and preparation of internal and external reporting material.
• Establish consistent processes and controls across the business, to ensure accurate reporting and risk management.
• Develop and maintain reserving and capital models.
• Manage the vetting of accounting data, asset data, reinsurance data and exposure data used for actuarial valuations.
• Deliver the quantitative projections for the annual ORSA.
• Deliver annual, quarterly and monthly SCR analysis and its cells in line with Group practices and policies.
• Participate in providing financial insights to proposed product developments and reinsurance arrangements.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Contribute to sustaining a competitive edge through external networking and benchmarking and representation on related forums.
• Engage with key internal and external stakeholders to identify changing client needs and make recommendations to align service offering with client needs.
