Asset Care Engineer

SUMMARY

My client is looking to employ an Asset Care Engineer to drive Asset Care Functions at the group level with a particular focus on system & business process development, integration & support while enforcing business process & Asset Care best practice compliance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Drive the Asset Care function within the group, with a particular focus on system & business process development, integration & support while enforcing business process & Asset Care best practice compliance
Develop/Oversee the development of the company EAMS and Asset Care reports, including interrogation of data, identification of trends and recommendations to
Liaise with and manage external consultants/advisors to the company’s Asset Care function
Participate in EAMS release testing and system function development
Assist in site planning resource development and arrange and conduct annual reviews of systems and procedures. Participate in GTS Audits and address shortcomings
Develop, maintain and manage engineering spare standards and cataloguing of new stock and non-stock items
Participate in asset life cycle Optimisation exercises regarding RCM development sessions
Ensure sound maintenance planning and scheduling standards are being applied
Provide suitable mechanisms and tools for sites to contribute, participate and benefit from continuous improvement efforts actively
Render system and function support relating to Asset Care and EAMS to sites and users
Drive on-the-job training of EAMS users through site planning offices and training matrixes, including induction on group standards and Asset Care related issues
Ensure effective communication between all internal stakeholders and manage internal customer complaints

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

BTech or Engineering Degree (BEng or BSc)
Minimum 3 years of Plant experience in a similar position.
Good understanding of Asset Management Principles (PAS 55, ISO 55000)
Strong computer skills and experience in planned maintenance systems (SAP PM, On Key, JDE CAM,) ERP (JDE). Preference will be given to candidates with extensive experience with Maximo
Experience in reliability reporting and analysis
Experience in developing and maintaining Asset Care business processes using BIC, Aris, Visio etc. in a mining and mineral processing environment will be an advantage.
