Accounting Firm based in MELKBOSSTRAND is seeking a Junior /Assistant Accountant or Accounting Clerk to start in January 2020

Candidate must have experience in an Accounting Firm
Fluent in Afrikaans and English

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

• Accounts payable
• Capturing/processing of invoices for all suppliers
• Perform the accounts payable function including, monthly reconciliations and ad-hoc queries
• Preparing invoices for payment
• Preparing financial statements
• Requirements
• Three to five years’ experience in a similar role
• Good working knowledge of Pastel
• Experience of Bluubin / Quickbooks / Xero an advantage
• Knowledge of Caseware (an advantage)
• Strong Excel and numeracy skills
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans
• Matric with Maths and Accounting (essential)
• Post matric qualification (B Comm) or similar (or currently studying)
• Knowledge of VAT essential
• Knowledge of accounting best practices and procedures

Salary: R12 500 - R15 000 (qualified) / R9 000 - R10 000 (1st /2nd Year Accounting Clerk)
