A renowned private Higher Education Institution is looking for a Business Management Lecturer to join their team on either a Full Time Permanent or part time basis in Bellville, Cape Town.

They’re offering an excellent salary negotiable, (subject to qualifications and/or experience) plus benefits which include: Provident Fund, 15 working days’ vacation time over December & January (excluding Public holidays & weekends), 12 days special paid leave during school holidays, outside supervisors that come & oversee the examinations so that lecturers only have to deal with their necessary marking, plus many internal career advancements opportunities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating relevant lesson plans & researching new & effective ways of delivering information to students in a creative way, to keep them interested & make them eager to learn more.

Key Performance Areas:

Lecturing

• Preparing and delivering regular lectures for students
• Guiding class discussions, whilst encouraging debate & feedback among students
• Assist with developing academic content & preparation of course materials where able
• Attend quarterly meetings as required by the Management Team
• Maintain a practical understanding of service standards & quality improvement initiatives relevant to your department
• Engaging in professional development as appropriate
• Engaging in research & developing new topics, courses & teaching materials

Administration
• Taking register before every class (done digitally)
• Prepare lesson plans, guided by the study guide provided
• Compiling class tests, practical assignments, formal test & exam papers
• Complete all marking of assignments, tests & exams within the necessary time


Requirements:
• Relevant Bachelor’s degree
• Relevant Master’s degree (completed or currently enrolled)
• Relevant industry experience
• 2 years relevant teaching experience will be an advantage
• Ability to write & edit assignments, test & exam papers in English

Must be able to lecture the following subjects:

• Statistics
• Financial Management 2 and 3
• Pastel accounting and Payroll
• Entrepreneurship
• Strategic Management
