RS Recruitment Services is assisting a large FMCG company to source a BUTCHERY MANAGER to be based in ZULULAND.

OUR CLIENT HAS BEEN SUCCESSFULLY DOING BUSINESS IN KZN FOR OVER THREE GENERATIONS AND HAS GROWN INTO AN ORGANISATION THAT NOW EMPLOY MORE THAN 1 000 PEOPLE.

Overall Purpose of the Position

To manage the butchery against quality and production standards.

Candidates need to have/must be:

• Matric.
• Relevant qualification, an advantage.
• Approximately 8 years butchery management experience.
• Experience with managing a team of butchery staff.
• Knowledge of meat cuts and products.
• Able to operate butchery equipment (i.e. scale, cling-wrap machine, bandsaw, mixer, filler, etc.)
• A knowledge of butchery operations and hygiene and safety standards.
• Strong admin skills.
• Computer literate.
• Willing to travel to and live in rural Zululand.
Responsibilities:

Manage daily butchery operations for the store:
• Ensure client satisfaction of all butchery customers.
• Manage and train butchery staff.
• Ensure product and stock availability through effective planning.
• Manage stock control, stock ordering and shrinkage.
• Price negotiations with suppliers.
• Improve bottom line profits and reduce unnecessary costs.
• Oversee quality control activities in the butchery.
• Manage all hygiene and safety activities of the butchery.
• Various ad hoc responsibilities.

Remuneration:

• Up to R20 000 ctc
• Package includes accommodation, travel and fuel allowance, 50% med aid contribution, provident fund.
