Job Description:

Financial Accounting : General Ledger Bookkeeping

Maintain a complete and accurate trial balance through the posting of bank statements and journals
Reconcile accounts denominated in various currencies
Review and analyse debtors and creditors aging with various team members
Prepare month-end closing of accounts
Maintain fixed asset register and depreciation schedules
Prepare and submit VAT and income tax calculations (SARS interaction) & UK VAT/TAX calculations
Implement financial internal controls and ensure necessary compliance thereof
Prepare and implement financial policies and procedures (Travel allowances, cost centre reporting)

Financial planning and analysis

Prepare monthly management accounts
Prepare cash flow forecasting
Coordinate company and departmental budget process
Liaise with various departments during budget process
Forecasting and five year planning, revenue models and scenario planning

Commercial finance
Communicate & understand client needs with regards to processing commercial transactions
Assist with the development & implementation of the financial module on the platform (Invoicing, commercial terms processing, cost accounting, processing account sales)
Preparing board packs for board meetings which impacts commercial decisions

Qualifications:

Bachelors in Accounting (Honours degree)
Chartered Accountant of South Africa – CA(SA) or equivalent (e.g. CIMA qualification)
Drivers license (This role will include some traveling)
Must have previous agricultural industry experience
