Large automotive manufacturer is seeking a highly experienced Commercial Manager who will report directly to the Sales Director


Engineering or Business Management Degree
Previous experience in dealing directly with OEM’s
Technical Know How includes e.g. knowledge of production/ manufacturing processes, materials science, technical drawings Define/ articulate own interests; derive targets; knowledge of negotiation techniques, styles and strategies; closing techniques General understanding of business operations, calculation of business cases, interpretation of facts and figures, KPIs
The use of English as a native or 2nd language that includes conversation, correspondence, grammar, text apprehension, etc. Office Tools

Main Responsibilities

Supports the implementation of customer strategy
Manages all relevant activities in approved Process "Acquire & Quote"/Process "Develop & Launch" projects to achieve defined targets
Documents and maintains all projects in company systems by ensuring high data quality
Prepares and supports project related negotiations with customer
Ensures successful development of orders during Process "Acquire & Quote"/Process "Develop & Launch" considering customer specific agreements
Suggests cost optimization to Account Manager/Global Account Director and/or Program Director
Defines boundary conditions and supports the (pre-) calculation of prototype- and serial production
Prepares necessary data for sales planning
Leads order- and acquisition-related customer meetings incl. negotiations
Expands customer relationship for commodity
