Applications are invited from suitably qualified and interested candidates for the Control Room Operator in the Agriculture Division for its feed mill operations in Kariega. The incumbent will control weighing and mixing plant according to production plan and as instructed by the Shift Manager to meet order requirements. The ideal incumbent should be in possession of a matric certificate and be computer literate. Previous production experience will be advantageous. This position reports to the Production Shift Manager.

Results Required
Use Production Plan to load next feed instruction into process control system day program as per formulation and batches required
Monitor weighing alarms, maize grinding line, proportioning bins and liquid addition scale
Update premix log sheet after each premix is decanted into the scale
Monitor transfer to mixers and report on longer than normal transfer times
Monitor liquid additions to mixers and mixing times
Release mixed batches into mixer hoppers
Plan bin allocations and routing of feed from mixers to pelleters and from pelleters to outloading bins
Report alarms and equipment tripping
Ensure that housekeeping in the control room is maintained
