MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
A large local law firm offering clients a high level of expertise in Corporate, Commercial, Trust, Tax law and administration of estates is looking to appoint a Conveyancing Secretary.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Matric
Handling a minimum of 20 transfer files at a time, from instruction to registration, independently.
3-5 years experience working at a law firm as a Conveyancing Secretary is essential.
You need to have solid experience in the computer program Ghost Conveyor

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Drafting of all types of Certificates, Applications, Affidavits, Powers of Attorney and Resolutions related to Conveyancing transfers.
Reviewing of OTPs and ensuring all conditions are met on time.
Requesting guarantees, obtaining clearance and obtaining transfer duty.
Applying for rates clearance, levy clearance and bond cancellation figures.
Attending to finances on each transfer during and upon registration of transfer.
