Our client manufactures and install interior design products, they are reputable and stable. They require a professional and ethical person to ensure a cohesive finance service offering that is aligned with the business strategy. The Cost Accountant will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling the costing, raw material physical control and purchasing, IT and logistics activities, and will also assume a strategic role in the overall management of the company.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide monthly analysis of the variance between theoretical usage of raw materials in the manufacturing process compared to the actual usage
- Provide monthly analysis of labour efficiency
- Create template to reflect the monthly margins achieved per product group
- Contribute fully to the development of company strategy across all areas of business
- Work with the FM and formulate finance policies and procedures
- Ensure company costing systems are robust, compliant and support current activities and future growth
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior executives
- Provide recommendations to improve profitability and margins
- Work with the MD and FM to identify new business opportunities
- Work with product development team to ensure that any changes or improvements to existing products are cost correctly
- Responsible for raw materials stores and despatch, for IT, purchasing of stock and non-stock items, outsourced production, inbound and outbound logistics (all from a financial cost management accounting perspective)

Qualifications & Experience:
- CA (SA) or CIMA or similar
- Experience in manufacturing environment
- 5+ years relevant experience
- 2 years senior management of a team
