Our commercial dealer client based in Polokwane is looking to employ an experienced Dealer Principal.
Job Description
To maintain maximum efficiency and profitability of the Company whilst ensuring a focus on customer satisfaction. To formulate and administer Company policy. To control cash flow, stocks and assets at a level commensurate with profit requirements and satisfactory return on investment. To maximize Company profitability through the sale of vehicles, associated products, parts and labour.

Specific Role Responsibilities MANAGEMENT
• To establish and agree labour and staff requirements with Directors and Line Management
• To ensure training needs are met and accurate records kept to maximize possible grants
• To manage staff performance appraisal system and ensure action taken on results
• To establish and review operation of salary scales and incentive schemes
• To lead and manage the total business operation within the structures of good governance and the requirements of OEM for its dealer body

ADMINISTRATION
• To ensure that the Company is operating within the legal requirements and practices of good business
• To review all departmental activities and reporting systems and structures
• To ensure Company operates incentive schemes in line with Manufacturers’ recommendations
• To ensure that adequate safety and security measures have been installed to protect Company personnel and property

COMMUNICATIONS
• To maintain effective relations with Directors, Line Managers, sub-ordinates and customers
• To ensure direct liaison with manufacturers, professional bodies, suppliers, statutory representatives and all other interactions MARKETING
• To plan and oversee the completion of sales and marketing plans, campaigns, advertising and promotional activities and to ensure good results
• To manage all areas having an impact on customer satisfaction and requirements for improvement and meeting OEM standards FINANCE
• To ensure financial stability of the dealership remains constant and consistent
• To review all pricing policies, sales discounts, fleet discounts, parts pricing and labour rates
• To monitor performance and results of dealer personnel against agreed standards

Qualifications and Experience
A minimum of five years experience as a Dealer Principal, General Manager or similar with commercial vehicles within the Automotive Retail Industry.
