Job Description
To manage IT software development in order to facilitate enhanced system performance ensuring on time delivery to meet business requirements.

Job Requirements
MINIMUM EDUCATION
• Degree on computer Science
• Diploma/certificate in RPG (preferred).


MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
• 10 years working experience as a Snr/Analyst; RPG Developer of which 4 years must have been on people management

• Review progress on a quarterly basis and provide feedback to the various stakeholders
• Provide consulting service to the business
Management of Budget and Costs Control
• Set and provide input for annual and monthly budgets (opex and capex)
• Manage the monthly costs reports by:
• Perform monthly forecast to ascertain over / under expenditure
• Report on any noticeable variances monthly on actuals and forecast
• Control and communicate all costs outside of the budget to direct manager
• Approve / decline contractual rates with labour brokers
Management of Software Development
• Coding Standards
• Manage the review of all codes written for applications to enhance performance, scalability and availability
• Ensure that the environmental set up is according to set standards
• Version Control:
• Enforce version control of source code
• Research and design:
• Research new technology and manage implementation
• Present to business for information and strategic direction
• Provide input to the spec writing and development during business process including JAD sessions
Support
• Support critical applications
• 24/7 support on key applications (Devops)
• Troubleshoot issues raised
