Our client is looking for an experienced engineer to join their DevOps team with experience building and scaling services in a cloud environment. You’ll be working within the existing DevOps and Security teams.

You will establish configuration management, automate their infrastructure, implement continuous integration, and train the team in DevOps best practices to achieve a continuously deployable system.

Responsibilities
Improve CI/CD tooling.
Implement and improve monitoring and alerting.
Build and maintain highly available systems.
Troubleshoot production issues to address technical commitments and boost sustainability.
Assist with Application deployments to various Azure locations.
Build tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve customer experience
Perform root cause analysis for production errors
Investigate and resolve technical issues
Form part of an after hours on call rotation to address critical downtime after hours

Skills
Configuration Management experience
Experience with Cloud Infrastructure (Azure, AWS, or GoogleCloud) – we use Azure
Experience with containers, microservice architectures and orchestration frameworks like Kubernetes
Strong Windows system administration and Networking background
Ability to present and communicate the architecture in a visual form.
Ability to construct and execute network, server, and application status monitoring.
Working knowledge of software development methodologies.
Good knowledge of .Net Environments
Experience with Source Code Management / Git
Knowledge of Linux, .Net Core & Redhat
Knowledge in Network security an advantage
Experience utilising configuration management tools like puppet, ansible or chef an advantage
Experience with security operations & remediation an advantage
Experience with infrastructure as code & utilising Terraform an advantage
