ECM Technician

Our client, a Blue Chip company based in the Vaal Triangle has a vacancy available for a person with the following:

Oversee the equipment condition Monitoring process and elements.
Maintain and sustain all ECM data in an Electronic Database.
All activities, roles and responsibilities are aligned to the world class (manufacturing) philosophy, principles and practices.

Qualifications
• Matric (Maths and Science)
• Mechanical/Electrical Trade Certificate (Red Seal) (will be an added advantage)
• NQF 6 Diploma in Engineering Disciplines
• Certified Category 3 or 4 Equipment Condition Monitoring
• ECM Software (Vibration Monitoring and Camera, Ultrasonic)

Experience
• 5-10 Years’ Experience in a Manufacturing Maintenance Environment as an ECM Technician Category 2
• Competent in ECM Software (Vibration Monitoring and Camera, Ultrasonic)
• Demonstrable knowledge of rotating equipment.
• Practical Knowledge of CMMS e.g. SAP, AX
Duties

Equipment Condition Monitoring:
• Maintain ECM data Base
• Maintain ECM Reporting Data Base
• Report Plant Health Conditions
• Follow-up on feedback
• KPI Reporting and Feedback
• Defect elimination to improve plant reliability
• Perform routine condition monitoring tasks on rotating equipment by data collection and other tools according to established schedules.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot rotating equipment problems.
• Report and stop equipment from working if there exist risks of failure and safety injuries

Equipment Condition Monitoring Work Processes:
• Developing, implementing and reviewing of Equipment Maintenance strategies
• Define ECM Work Processes
• Define ECM Work Processes as per EMC Elements
• Sustain ECM Work Processes
• Analyse and trend predictive maintenance data to determine Long Equipment Health
• Generate Work requests as required.
