The successful candidate will be responsible for electrical duties (TPM) and breakdowns as well as for the continual assistance to training of the apprentices on site and other formal training programmes based on the business needs.
Requirements:
• Qualified Electrician (Red Seal)
• Minimum 5 years post trade test working experience in a manufacturing and production environment
• Must be able to read and interpret drawings
• PLC good basic knowledge and experience, programming would be an advantage
• Knowledge and usage of VSDs, soft starters, DOL, star-delta, forward/ reverse, servo drives
• Knowledge on fault finding, testing of panels and installation of equipment
• Working knowledge on cabling, cable ladders, wire ways, routing, termination/connections
• Basic knowledge of pneumatics, and hydraulics
• Relay technology/ logics knowledge
• General factory/ building maintenance
• Motor applications and knowledge
• Own tools and equipment
• Valid drivers license and own reliable transport
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision and be available for standby duties
• Prepared to undergo further training or studies
Must be prepared to do shifts and be available to start on the 12th December
3 Month contract with the possibility of going permanent
