Equity Analyst with CFA qualification and minimum 2 years’ relevant experience, required to take joint oversight over a team of equity Analysts responsible for producing research reports for a large private client stockbroker on local and offshore listed equities. This position is based in Midrand.

Minimum requirements:
• B.Com Investment Management Degree required
• CFA Charter Holder – CFAIII preferred but will consider CFAII as minimum requirement
• Minimum 2 years relevant equity analysis experience essential
• Previous team oversight experience required
• Advanced Excel and VBA essential

Responsibilities:
• Joint oversight of team of equity analysts producing research reports for large private stockbroking client on local and offshore listed equities
• Manage team workflow, maintain quants research database and train team members on investments processes
• Analyse local and offshore Financial companies, creating valuation models and formulating investment recommendations
• Generals analysis - financial statement analysis, building and maintaining financial models evaluating historical performance and generate projection
• Analyse data - assess and describe current and long term trends at industry and company level
• Identify investment opportunities for client portfolios
• Sector presentations that elaborate on revenue and earnings and interpretation of trends
• Sales, marketing and communication related tasks
• Reporting to all stakeholders
• Ensure accuracy of team members
