EXPORT SALES MANAGER TO BE BASED AT WOODMEAD:-

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The role will be accountable for developing and executing an Export Sales Strategy in line with the organisational goal. The candidate must be capable of travelling extensively across the SADC region developing key relationships with distributions and Key Customers within those specific markets. The candidate must be able to work independently and have strong skills in developing relationships across a multi-cultural region

MAIN TASKS INCLUDE:
• Identify prospective markets and identify appropriate business opportunities in respective countries.
• Achieving sales targets and growing market share across key countries.
• Developing and implementing a route to market strategy in respective markets.
• New business development, planning, budgeting, forecasting and implementation.
• To retain & maintain existing clients and further develop the respective countries.
• Maintain all company agents/distributors for the African regions and perform regular visits to all countries
• Provide monthly business updates according to agreed deadlines to management & stakeholders and present customer and performance reviews to management every quarter.
• Manage allocated budgets effectively
• Review Countries/Customers performance and implement corrective strategies.
• Implement & evaluate promotional program and measure ROI in conjunction with activations
• Identify best promotional mix to drive the best ROI through planned activities and ad hoc spend.
• Negotiate trading terms, ranging, new listings, pricing and promotional activities.
• Manage and grow customer profitability.
• Establish organisational policies and procedures related to exports and ensure compliance is met in line with company policies
• Extensive Knowledge of African countries legislation per region

QUALIFYING ATTRIBUTES:
Qualification:
• Preferred Commercial Degree/Diploma
Experience:
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in FMCG account / Export sales into Africa
• A strong understanding of customs and traditions within African countries
• Excel and PowerPoint literacy
Skills :
• Commercially astute
• Strong decision making skills and possesses initiative
