Production: Logistics

MAIN REQUIREMENTS:
• 2-3 years’ Supervisory/Managerial experience in Production or Logistics environment
• 5 years’ experience in Production or Logistics environment
• Liaising with logistics service providers such as rail transport, road transport, customs, port authorities, shipping lines and overseas warehouses
• Export experience to countries such as Germany, Japan, Canada, South Korea or the US.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Orders to be produced and shipped to customers in locations such as Germany, Japan, Canada, South Korea or the US, for arrival in a specific week several months into the future and must be planned according to the throughput parameters of the section, as well as the availability and transit times of the logistics service providers. The logistics service providers include rail transport, road transport, customs, port authorities, shipping lines and overseas warehouses.
• Arrange necessary logistics for dispatches and efficiently plan production schedule.
• Liaise with customers and agents on the shipping schedule.
• Compile and submit reports as required.
• Contribute to systems improvements and ad hoc projects.
• Adherence and compliance to all HSEQ legislation, policy & procedures
• Supervising the team
• Adhere to section cost control measures


QUALIFICATIONS:
• National Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics/Industrial Engineering
