Our client is seeking a Financial Accountant to monitor all financial data within the Group and prepare accurate statements for our companies. Ultimately, you will ensure all the accounting transactions comply with the law and support the company’s investments.

Responsibilities will include:
• Budgeting and forecasting,
• Managing compliance to all regulatory bodies
• Managing the external audit to completion of the annual financial statements
• The production of monthly management accounts
• Manage external relations with financiers, auditors, SARS, creditors, and customers.
• Manage internal relationships:
- Finance department
- Acting as a support service to all members of the Group companies and
- Provide accurate data to Directors, senior management, and internal parties (as required).

Requirements:
• A degree in Accounting and finance work experience (3 – 5 years)
• Exposure to manufacturing within the automotive (or similar) industry
• Solid knowledge of accounting regulations and compliance to IFRS
• Certification (e.g. CA (SA)) is preferable and a definite plus
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software (preferably, Syspro and Pastel)
• In-depth understanding of business bookkeeping procedures
• Attention to detail and able to work in a demanding environment
• Committed to quality and service - excellent communication and interpersonal skills to deal with complex situations both internal and external to the organization.
