Company profile: National Premium Brands Company operating in South and Southern Africa. Operates in the FMCG sector which include retail shops around South Africa

Purpose of role:

Responsible for planning, directing and controlling financial department and the administrative function.

Education:

* Diploma or Degree in ACCOUNTING

* Skilled in MS Office (advanced Excel and Pastel Partner)

Industry Background:

* Experienced in a financial role with high volume wholesale business transaction i.e. FMCG

* Knowledge of FMCG/Retail

Experience:

2-5 Years experience in the day to day finance function of a wholesale business

Key duties and responsibilities:

* Control of the company’s accounting function

* Manage the finance team

* Overall control of all financial transactions and accountancy matters.

* Ensure that the regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are met regarding the company’s financial affairs (i.e. preparation of Payroll files and VAT etc. for review and submission).

* Maintain the company Fixed Asset Register

* Manage accounting and financial systems and maintain full and accurate accounting records

* Assist the CFO with complete and accurate management accounts for review

* Weekly review and preparation of reports for meetings, especially the Cash Flow and Payments documents

* Establish and maintain cash controls

* Maintain Customer limits and reconcile Customers with the outsourced Debtors collection agency TCBS

* Transact with foreign suppliers and handle all import transactions and documentation.

*Liaise with Banks

Salary: R20 000 - R22 000
