SUMMARY

Our Client from the REITs industry is seeking to appoint a Financial Controller who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

The Financial controller is responsible for the financial management of a portfolio of properties and companies within the group. This involves the full financial function of these companies. The role incumbent is responsible for paying attention to the details of the immediate task and deciding the most efficient way of getting it done on time. The incumbent will be required to be flexible to switch from one specialised task to another. A critical success factor of the role will be the analytical ability to identify problem areas and ensure quick and effective problem-solving for others in their area of expertise. In addition to this, the incumbent will be expected to identify risks and implement actions to mitigate these.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

BCom degree / Bcom Honours degree or equivalent
NQF Level 7/8
Three to four years experience in a similar role if not NQF8
One or two years experience in a similar role – if not CA (SA)
Newly qualified CA (SA) with completed articles. Previous experience in the property and construction industry will be advantageous.
