The Department:
We are a dynamic and diverse group of individuals working together in a fast-paced environment, with the sole aim of providing accurate and useful financial information As the Finance department, we deliver timeously to the senior management and shareholders of the organisation, to assist with their decision-making processes in driving the business.
Purpose of the Role:
The purpose of the Finance Director role is to lead and manage the Finance function
This role will report to the Chief Finance Officer.
Duties include, but not limited to:
Financial reporting
This include statutory, monthly management accounts and analytical reporting.
Oversees the preparation and distribution of all periodic financial statements for external use. Ensures that reports, filings and documentation comply with company’s regulations, professional standards, and SEC and IFRS and or GAAP reporting guidelines.
Driving the financial planning of the company by analysing its performance and risks. Retaining constant awareness of the company’s financial position and acting to prevent problems.
Corporate Governance
This is to be able to design and implement with the Group CFO the finance strategy in line with the corporate strategy.
Board reporting and minutes.
Responsible for overview and creating of board reports to assist the board of directors to know how the business is performing by providing good-quality and timely information’s.
Audits
Contract external auditing services to ensure financial monitoring is up to date. Create and maintain relationships with service providers and contractors, and accountants and external auditing firms for audit and accounting services.
Work closely with Internal Audit department and committees to ensure that the necessary information is provided to have the businesses internal controls validat3ed and audited on a regular basis.
Tax management and compliance.
Ensure accurate, timely filing of consolidated federal, state, and local income tax returns and other business-related filings. Develop and evaluate tax strategies and explore opportunities for tax planning and optimization for the organizations, including but not limited to:
Direct and indirect taxes.
Transfer pricing governance.
support the business and CFO in navigating a dynamic and complex global tax environment. Constantly changing regulatory environments have led to rapid growth in transfer pricing.
Substance Governance.
Regulatory requirements
Ensure that all financial assistance and reporting is supplied in conjunction with the regulatory requirements. This also include timely filings of reports and statutory requirements.
Accounting & finance policies and compliance with statutory requirements
Update and implement financial policies and procedures.
Legal and contracts.
Internal billing and contract management – ensure that all the internal relationships has the correct agreements in place.
Administration and record keeping of all external contracts.
Funds and Assets management
Treasury management included management of the holdings of the company to ensure liquidity and mitigating operational, financial, and reputational risks.
This also include the planning, organizing and controlling the funds and working capital of the group to maintain liquidity and reduce the overall cost of funds.
Forecasts and going concern monuments
Including the preparation and sign off on monthly and annual forecasts ensuring the company’s accounts are prepared on the bases of going concern.
Manage the actuals against the budgets and introduce controls or corrective measures where required.
Robust and critical systems and controls
Develop and maintain tools on-hand to help achieve close to real-time reporting which pulls all relevant management information. Consistently improving reporting capabilities to assist with internal decision making.
Policies and procedures around the controls and output of the ERP systems.
Ensure the increase effectiveness in the output of reporting that adhere to the compliance and reporting standards required.
Financials staffing & People management
Structure maintenance.
KPI management.
Work with managers in Finance to clearly identify and define their responsibilities, developing key performance indicators/goals to ensure effective and efficient operation of each business unit within Finance.

Essential Criteria:
BCom (Accounting), CIMA or equivalent financial qualification.
Minimum of 3 years accounting reporting experience.
Experience with large volumes of financial data.
Experience with financial systems.
Minimum 3-5 years managerial experience.
Desirable Criteria:
Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Experience in Navision.
Knowledge of IFRS.
