PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The role’s main purpose is to oversee critical functions ensuring seamless operations and compliance within the Organization. This includes managing the general ledger, preparing annual financial statements, supervising accounts payables and receivables, and managing facilities. Additionally, the management of the outsourced ICT function. This position plays a pivotal role in efficiently managing resources and achieving the strategic objectives of the Organization

RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage the full finance function, including monthly management accounts and compliance monitoring.
Make critical decisions on procurement in alignment with the Client’s objectives.
Oversee cash flow, and budget spending, and liaise with the National Treasury to ensure fiscal responsibility.
Prepare comprehensive reports for various committees, including Board Sub-Committees and the Management Committee (MANCO).
Ensure tax compliance and manage monthly payroll expenditures efficiently.
Supervise and mentor finance, ICT, and facilities employees to ensure high performance and professional development.
Maintain and optimize Client’s information systems, ensuring business continuity and disaster recovery.
Lead and manage support functions including Payroll, Finance, Supply Chain, IT, Facilities Management, and Communications.
Oversee all financial systems, policies, and processes, ensuring adherence to regulations and accountability.
Drive budgeting processes and financial reporting to support strategic decision-making.
Manage supply chain functions and asset management in compliance with PFMA requirements.
Ensure the integrity and security of IT infrastructure.
Authorize payroll and manage facilities to maintain optimal working conditions.
Develop and implement robust processes and procedures for financial and ICT management.
Allocate resources for Continuous Learning and Development initiatives for finance and facilities staff.
Monitor and manage asset and stationery stock control efficiently.
Cultivate positive relationships with internal colleagues and external stakeholders.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including suppliers and service providers, to foster collaboration and achieve organizational goals.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Professional Qualification: Chartered Accountant (South Africa)
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from a reputable institution.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a senior finance management role.
Extensive experience in managing financial operations, including budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance.
Proven track record of overseeing successful audits and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
Experience in managing teams, with demonstrated leadership and team-building skills.
Strong understanding of information systems and experience in overseeing IT infrastructure.
Experience in procurement processes and supply chain management would be advantageous.
Prior experience working in a regulatory or public sector environment would be advantageous.
