You will form part of the Finance team in Johannesburg. As the team is small, the role encompasses a broad spectrum of tasks and is a “hands on role”. The role is responsible for looking after the internal finance of the group which includes 10 entities. You will also be responsible for managing two junior staff in the Johannesburg office and all external service providers in the various jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

producing monthly management accounts;
producing quarterly accounts for statutory/compliance purposes;
drafting annual financial statements;
manage and assist the external auditors;
assist with the annual budget process;
manage the payroll function in conjunction with HR and external payroll providers;
review tax submissions;
review and release payments; and
managing external service providers;

Minimum requirements/qualifications

minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role;
Bcom Honours degree;
understanding of IFRS reporting;
articles would be advantageous; and
must have good excel skills.
