Act as the IFRS 17 Champion in the Life Finance Team
Assist entities with understanding, interpreting, finalising the reporting and analysing the IFRS 17 results and provide the full spectrum of collaboration, business partnering and support to the central team and the range of Life Insurance countries on technical issues. The position reports to the Head of Finance.

• Manage the accounting stream implementation of IFRS17 processes and related projects across life business
• Lead Life IFRS 4 & 17 dual reporting processes
• Lead and manage all Life IFRS17 change management processes
• Lead continuous improvement efforts and the refinement of the IFRS 17 solution and business process design to ensure an efficient and effective IFRS 17 function in Life
• Act as the custodian of all relevant IFRS 17 documentation (technical documents, processes and policies), ensure it is up to date and fit for purpose
• Support the maintenance and development of the Life financial reporting system (HFM) to enable an effective transition to IFRS 17 reporting
• Where required, collaborate with the Actuarial teams to determine data hand-offs, technical requirements and synergies regarding IFRS 17 reporting
• Qualified CA(SA)
• 5 to 7 years post qualification experience
• Relevant experience in a similar role within financial services industry
• Experience with financial change management project implementations will be advantageous
• General commercial and financial knowledge
• Sound knowledge of financial reporting processes and architecture, ideally gained within the Insurance sector
• Experience in the emerging markets environment will be an advantage

• Oracle HFM and TM1 experience will be an added advantage
• Good working knowledge of IFRS principles and standards
• Basic understanding of actuarial numbers will be an advantage EV, VNB, Policyholder vs Shareholder Insurance Accounting ito IFRS 4.
• Process management skills (able to review existing processes and procedures, making recommendations for rationalisation/improvement, and implement them operationally)
• Ability to speak French will be advantageous m15.7s
