Fitter & Turner (Temp to Perm)

Our client in the marine industry, seeks to appoint a qualified Red Seal Fitter & Turner with a minimum of 8 years relevant work experience to join this small and experienced team. Previous experience working on CNC machines will be advantageous.

Requirements

• Red Seal qualified.
• Minimum 8 years experience as a Fitter & Turner.
• Previous experience on CNC milling machine will be advantageous.
• Must have good communication skills and be able to report back to engineering on possible improvements or issues that arise.
• Must be forward thinking and be able to develop ideas to increase efficiency on mass production parts.
• Must be ready to work as part of small experienced team and be willing to debate ideas and take criticism.
• Please note that his would be a temp to permanent appointment. The successful candidate must be willing to commence employment immediately.

Responsibilities

• Run a small machine shop comprising of a lathe, milling machine and 3-axis CNC milling machine.
• Manufacture components as per drawing for use in our standardised product range.
