FMCG BUYER - Diep River, Cape Town

Pick Me Recruitment is looking for an Experienced Buyer at an established food manufacturing factory in Diep River, Cape Town.

Key Responsibilities
• Loading and reviewing MRP (Materials Requirement Plan) on a weekly basis to establish total production inputs
• Closely monitoring & managing all perishable inputs to align with weekly production requirements
• Planning and scheduling of selected sub-recipes on an ongoing basis
• Active internal liaison with the Planning & Production managers to ensure scheduled production changes are timeously acted upon and communicated
• Daily communication with external suppliers
• Overseeing the functions performed by the procurement administrative/ clerical support staff to ensure optimum efficiency
• Involvement by way of active participation in as well as oversight over the monthly stock-takes at the various production sites
Minimum Requirements
• Matric
• Relevant tertiary education will be advantageous
• Minimum of 4 years FMCG buying experience
• Experience in purchasing and managing multiple SKU’s
• Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport
