PURPOSE OF POSITION
• To take high-level requirements into interaction flows and design artifacts to create beautiful, intuitive and functional user centric products.
• To represent the company at allocated client site by ensuring world class services are delivered on time, within budget and of quality.
• Uphold and represent the design capability on client site with confidence and purpose in order to deliver world class design solutions.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Communication:
• Liaise with clients, assigned developers, designers and the Practice Principals to ensure:
• Projects stay on track;
• All issues are resolved;
• Budget is on track;
• Ensuring weekly demonstrations to the respective clients take place on a weekly basis on at least 1 (one) project;
• Liaise with respective teams (internal and external) to define and implement innovative solutions
Planning:
• Draw up weekly job cards defining what is to be done in order to complete selected deliverables for that week;
Design/Development:
• Ensuring that execution takes place on all design stages from concept to final hand-off to the client;
• Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complicated problems;
• Create low and high-fidelity wireframes, storyboards, empathy maps, user flows, process flows and site maps to communicate interaction and design ideas.
Management:
• Ability to manage junior resource and/or team
• Ensuring that assigned Jnr developer/designer is provided a job card and that the tasks assigned to the Jnr developer/designer is executed;
• Action weekly administration documentation thereby ensuring there is no risk;
• Quality assurance actioned on work done by junior resource/team before handing over to the client;
• Accurately logging time entries daily and that Jnr developer have logged their time entries correctly.

SKILLS REQUIRED
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
• At least 3 years Design experience;
• Have at least 2 years management/team leader experience;
• Bonus: Prior experience in the corporate environment.
• Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, InVision and/or other visual design and wire-framing tools;
• Ability to present your designs and sell your solutions to various stakeholders;
• Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively;
• Up to date with the latest trends, techniques and technologies.

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum required)
Graduates (B.Com Business / BA Graphic Design/ Higher Certificate in Art and Design) or
similar
OR
Previous Graphic Design or digital product design experience.
