General Manager: National Operations – Courier | Johannesburg – Gauteng
Salary: R95K CTC

Purpose of Position:
Complement Recruitment are recruiting for General Manager: National Operations from the Courier, Freight, Logistics, Transport & or Supply Chain industry. Our client requires an energetic individual to fill the above position. The successful incumbent will be based at Head Office and will report to the Executive: Operations and will assume the full responsibility for South African branch operations.

Main Responsibilities:
• Managing & developing the South African regions in terms of branch operations (service delivery),
sales, systems, strategy, policy making & profitability.
• Passion & Energy for Logistics - a real go-getter
• Ensuring ON TIME and IN FULL delivery at every branch
• Manage Operational Costs versus Budget Cargo / Fleet / In-House / Admin Ops / Premium Fixed
• Overseeing budgets and forecasts.
• Optimise Android Usage Deliveries and Collections across all branches
• Ensuring sizing is done in accordance with operational requirements
• Ensuring Branch meetings are done as stipulated
• Staying fully aware of all branch activities and especially deviations / non-conformances problems
and ensure actions plans are devised and implemented to resolve as a matter of urgency
• Communicate operational issues & solutions pro-actively to all branched to prevent occurrence of the same in other branches
• Ensuring that the regions are managed & maintained according to the Company’s expectations in terms of KPI’S.
• Ensuring that good customer relations, high operating standards and service levels are maintained.
• Carry out all duties in accordance with SOP’s
• Ensure full support to the SHEQ department by maintaining Quality Operating Procedure compliance and coordinating Branch Audits together with the SHEQ Department.
• Mentoring of branch managers

Minimum Requirements:
? Grade 12, Relevant Tertiary Qualification (would be advantageous). SA Citizens only
? Generalist Management Skills (Min 5 years’ experience) of at least 10 branches nationally.
? Extensive knowledge of the Courier / Freight Industry.
? Sound financial background / understanding.
? The ability to professionally manage, motivate & display individual leadership qualities.
? Excellent delegation, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
? Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
? Project Management capabilities; Strategic Leadership capabilities.

? Annual incentive equal to 13th cheque if KPI’s achieved – No Criminal Record
