RedCat Recruitment is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced GENERAL MANAGER (NON-PROFIT ORGANISATION) for a well-established non-profit organization based in Pietermaritzburg.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Grade 12.
Valid driver’s license / own reliable transport essential.
Strong computer skills (MS Office, Email / Internet).
Possess a relevant post graduate qualification.
7 years’ management experience (preferably in the non-profit sector).
Have a strong sense of ethics and commitment to social justice.
Have excellent communication, report-writing, budgeting and financial management skills.
Be able to analyse and navigate politics in the KwaZulu-Natal context.
Be a good listener before providing answers -- able to learn and enable others to learn.
Be able to manage diverse multi-disciplinary teams.
No criminal record.
Be responsible overall for operational planning, budgeting, delivering on contractual commitments, and financial and human resource management.
Establish and maintain clear lines of reporting and responsibility between our Board of Directors, outsourced finance team, funders and clients.
Motivate and manage a small complement of in-house staff and an outsourced finance team.
Project and manage the agreed profile of the organisation, and build and maintain effective stakeholder relations.
Diversify and grow funding base to achieve long term sustainability.
