MAIN JOB PURPOSE
The Incumbent will be responsible for the overall Strategic Management, Business Development and Effective operations of the organisation.

The duties include the following:

• Strategic Management through management of structures, personnel, product offering and operational infrastructure to optimally deliver on Fibre strategy and grow the business.
• Monthly reporting to EXCO and Board on Strategic, Financial, Operational, Marketing and Sales within Fibre.
• Organizational Effectiveness through improvements to each function (HR, IT, Finance, Marketing and Training) as well as coordination and communication between functions.
• Ensure GP% margin is in line with company strategy
• Monitor Cost of Sales
• Design and implement new ways to improve financial processes
• Review and monitor submission process of all financial documentation as per company standard operating procedures
• Build and sustain a solid pipeline with Business Development to ensure financial growth in-line with Group Company Strategy
• Design and develop new products to secure an increase in sales, staff and offerings
• Monitor internal QMS processes based on ISO 9001 standards
• Ensures that there are clear communication paths within the project team, the organisation, supplier and customers.
• Design and develop new strategies, policies and procedures related to improve overall company effectiveness

Required education:

• A tertiary degree or diploma supporting the required skills for this position

Required experience:

• At least 10 years’ experience in Operations management in a training environment
• Excellent Computer Literacy in MS Office
• A solid understanding of SETA processes and procedures
• At least 5 years’ experience in people management

Required skills:

• High comfort level working in a diverse environment
• Excels at operating in a fast pace, community environment
• Exposure to the research, development and innovation environment is desirable
• Understanding of formal project management implementation methodologies
• Knowledge of financial process, monitoring progress and report writing
• Excellent computer literacy and experience in the application of software tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Visio or similar)
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
• Proficiency in the English Language
• Knowledge of tender management
• Knowledge and experience in organizational effectiveness and operations management implementing best practices.
• Ability to work in a methodical manner is essential
• Problem-solving, solution-seeking orientation and goal-orientated
• Ability to provide thought leadership
• High level conceptualization and analytical skills
• Ability to do strategic stakeholder interaction at all levels
• Excellent business management skills (i.e. budgeting, establishing networks, etc.)

• Demonstrated track record of the ability to work accurately, independently and efficiently
