Group Statutory Accountant

Johannesburg and Cape Town

The role is to ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory and financial reporting requirements. Taxation is a focus of this role. It also encompasses standard monthly reporting, trial balance management, ad hoc reports and project management of the audit processes. The role will report into the Tax, Statutory and reporting team lead.
Monthly reporting, statutory reporting (annual financial statements) and compliance reporting
Boards reports
System maintenance
Year end external audit files
Contracts
Taxation:
- Research of taxation implications
- VAT and taxation
- Review of tax payments
- Training of management accountants

CA (SA) or ACCA
Accounting reporting experience
Knowledge of IFRS
Minimum 2 years tax experience
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, intermediate to advanced
Experience in Navision will be an advantage
