You will be responsible for managing 3 teams in a corporate concern. This vacancy is NOT suited for consultants or someone managing a team of Project Managers.

Duties and responsibilities:

IT Strategy Development:

Business partnering with key Exco members and alignment of strategic business objectives to deliver value and improved business performance.
Understand business objectives and challenges (VIA) and align / prioritise IT value-add focus.
Provide leadership by demonstrating business leadership in order to derive a meaningful and appropriate IT strategy, aligned to the business objectives.
Ability to Articulate and establish Trust in the IT strategy and its alignment, to all stakeholders (Executive, senior managers, Corporate, the IS&T Team and key Suppliers and business partners).
Lead improvements in IT processes: Manage systems sustainability and complexity by developing tactical and long term plans supported by appropriate resource and finance to Steer and Deliver the agreed IT strategy.
Operate effectively in a Complex and Dynamic operational matrix where Corporate IS&T is still maturing its global standardisation and procurement strategies and models.
Be aligned to industry trends – ability to identify and leverage relative opportunities.
Establish meaningful/trusted industry relationships and forums in order to understand trends and maturity and identify opportunities for the business.


Deliver IT Value:

Optimise expenses and manage budget (Opex and Capex – African region and corporate alignment).
Prepare and sell acceptable IT budget aligned to business KPIs.
Manage the budget.
Present proposals for Capex budgets
Providing value of IT (efficiency enabler of Business processes).
Manage and Lead a team to deliver against high business project and operational expectations.
Directing the effective stability and performance of IT infrastructure and processes.
Work closely with staff, partners and service providers to find solutions for business processes
Research and recommend new products or business solutions

Manage IT Risk and Governance

Manage IT Assets and Project Management

Desired Experience & Qualification

Requirements:

BSc Computer Science Degree or National Diploma in Information Technology
10 years’ experience in a Senior Management role
Exposure to working in a Multinational company
FMCG experience an advantage
InforLx or similar system experience an advantage
People and Organisational Development including performance and talent management strategies to support business improvement– ability to coach and implement feedback processes
Change Management: Ability to identify the change management aspects of projects/initiatives
Financial Acumen and Awareness: Ability to understand the general financial sustainability, to identify the appropriate cost of capital and the appropriate capital structure were applicable
