High / Medium Voltage Field Testing Technician

Job description
We need an experienced Field Service Technician to perform service, preventative maintenance, onsite modifications and installations on medium voltage electrical equipment at customer sites.
Must be able to establish and maintain proper business relationships with customers and peers, as well as performing necessary administrative duties accurately.


Qualifications
• Between 3-5 years of hands-on experience High and Medium voltage testing of electrical power equipment.
• N6, National Diploma or BTech essential
• Highly motivated self-starter with desire to learn
• Must be proficient in the use of tools and service test equipment
• Must be able to work both individually and in an established team setting
• Ability to travel and provide service in assigned geography
• Computer skills – Microsoft Word, Excel, SAP
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, including a positive attitude
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Knowledge on Switchgear, Circuit Breakers, Protection Panels & Relays, Power Transformers and Power cables

Salary range R30-40k pm depending on experience
