Duties:

To transport patients in wheelchairs, beds or trolleys between various areas of the hospital
Assist patients and from motor vehicles, parking bay and drop off zones
Escort mobile patients between various areas or the hospital
Transport of equipment, folders and blood products to and from clinics, theatres and wards to laboratories gas sterilisation, stores workshop and other hospital areas
Ensure that trolleys always have clean linen and blankets and that the trolleys and wheelchairs are in good order and condition
Porters will also require assisting the hospital with a variety of task, e.g. messengers' duties trolley cart pushers

Minimum requirements:

Must have solid experience working as a Porter within a hospital environment - 6 months to 1 year experience
Porters must be aware of the health and safety aspects of hospital environment
Porters must be relatively in good health and physically strong as porters are expected to lift objects and push patients' beds etc.
Must be willing to work day and night shift and public holidays
Must be available at short notice day or night
