MAIN JOB PURPOSE
The HR Manager will be responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units, transforming all policies into executable plans and departmental procedures. The position serves as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
• Diploma/ Degree in HR Management / Social Sciences
• Sound understanding of Employment Equity Act, Skills Development Act, Labour Relations Act, Basic Conditions of Employment Act, and all other applicable legislation
• Advance knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Knowledge of Google will be advantageous
• Driver’s License with own/reliable transport
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an HR business partnering role
• Seasoned HR generalist with experience in working with diverse management teams
• Experience in BBBEE HR elements process and records maintenance elements requirements
• Track record in rendering sound HR advice on complex HR matters and facilitating organisational /team changes
• Track record in management capacity building and guidance towards compliant people management and organisational culture
• Some experience in Payspace payroll system
• Extensive experience in discipline and performance management
• Effective at recruitment and onboarding of talent
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in people management

DUITES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties include:
HR Operations
• Analyse trends and metrics in partnership with Group HR Manager to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
• Collaborate with management to develop contract terms for new hires, promotions, and transfers.
• Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
• Collaborate with Group SDF to prepare skills development reports (WSP and ATR) and bursary coordination
• Employment equity (EE consulting), EE committee meetings, developing and maintaining of EE
• Plan, complete and submit EE Reports
• Assist management with interpretation and translation of Labour Legislation
• Administer payroll accurate and timeously as per defined timelines
• Collaborate with management to develop job profiles/descriptions and assist in preparing personal development plans for managers.
• Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, warnings, and other related issues
• Oversee and manage a performance management system that drives high performance
• Research compensation standards set by industry and governing bodies to create salary ranges and administer employee benefits
• Creating recruitment plans, interview schedules and evaluation standards in accordance with HR methodologies and labour laws
• Oversee exit interviews and procedures

People Management
• Oversee the flow of day-to-day HR operations and effective collaboration
• Delegate tasks to team members and set timelines as required
• Monitor team performance and report on metrics

Stakeholder Engagements
• Conduct weekly meetings / check-ins with respective business units.
• Consult with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.

HR Compliance
• Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management
• Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation.

Reporting
• Weekly and Monthly submission of HR Metrics
• Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics
