In working in the HR Department of a well established mining company, the successful HR Officer will be providing training and development of staff as well as aiding in the recruitment and retention processes, the incumbent will also be the main support line for employees in order to achieve a strong service delivery.

Job Description
Employee contracts update and revue, contracts filing
Facilitate the recruitment and selection process and termination documentation
Assist in creating and enforcing policies that are fair and consistent for everyone in the workplace.
Must assist in the coordination with payroll of new comers/leavers
Prevent and resolve problems or disputes between employees and management.
Create reports of time and attendance of employees
Handle employee inquiries
Assist in the administration of access cards
Coordinate Training and Development of staff
Compile annual training reports for upper management
Probation appraisals
Payroll Administration
In charge of employee induction process
Implement skills plans
Minimum Requirements
Matric Certificate
B.Com HRM / B.Soc.Sc Industrial Psychology Degree
3 - 5 years’ generalist HR exp.
Industrial Relations exp. In initiating disciplinary cases
Knowledge in recruitment/ retention practices / South African Labour Legislation
Exp. working in a mining environment will be advantageous
Proficient in HR systems (SAGE, Biometrics ect) / MS Office
Must have a valid driver’s license
