Purpose of Position:
Complement Recruitment are recruiting for a Junior Buyer, Procurement Clerk to be based in Cato Ridge, eThekwini, Durban, Kwazulu Natal. This is a permanent position reporting to the Procurement Section in Charge, and carries the primary responsibility of requesting quotations, entry level negotiations, VCRD creations and purchase order creations. Experience in a Manufacturing industry essential, as well as international import and export experience. The role is to develop into diverse skills of procurement and freight.

Minimum Requirements:
• Grade 12
• 2 years’ experience within a similar role
• Must be from Manufacturing with International procurement industry experience (freight, import, exports)
• Own reliable transport

Job Requirements:
• Sourcing new suppliers
• Negotiations
• VCRD creations
• Zero penalties or delays in Freight goods
• Updating and reporting on pending indents
• Updating and reporting on pending purchase orders
• Monitoring of prices and usage of consumables and advising responsible persons
• Conducting supplier audits
• Problem solving and assisting in case of absenteeism
• Monthly kaizen submissions
• Invoice check and submission to accounts
• Freight forwarder documentation (checking, sign-off & submission)
