Imports & Exports Controller

SALARY

R540 000 CTC per annum

SUMMARY

Exciting opportunity for an experienced Imports & Exports Controller in a well-established food manufacturing company.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Analyse forecast and liaise with Sales and Operations teams on Supply / Demand issues
Manage Sales contracts – timing / coordinating product and logistics.
Develop demand plans, and interface on supply issues.
High control of inventory to ensure high efficiencies
React to market demand to ensure supply from Traders
Participate and lead logistics-related projects
Support and liaise with Sales and Operation team on order and supply management
Propose and investigate cost-saving initiatives
Regular status/communication reporting to customers/traders.
Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely supply of product
Ensure that all logistics/sales paperwork is accurate and produced on time.
Liaise with carriers to ensure there are sufficient trailers for loading on time every time
Ensure key business partners are updated daily with details on any supply issues that may arise
Liaise with the Department of Agriculture to ensure Veterinary procedures are upheld always
Stock controlling and rotation.
Credit control
Liaise with Offsite storage facilities ensuring that movement documents are complete and accurate.
Ensure completeness of paperwork required by the Costing Department for all container trading within deadlines.
Ability to verify import protocols with the relevant permits from international suppliers
Any other support as per business demands.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Minimum of 4 years’ experience in imports & exports within an FMCG company
Excellent MS Excel skills
Can communicate in both English and Zulu
