What the person must be able to do:

This role is in the Chemical Manufacturing sector. All duties would take place in this context.

* Diagnose Electromechanical/Instrumentation faults

* Diagnose Operator Error Faults

* Diagnose Flow, Temp, Pressure Instruments/Sensors

* Diagnosing and Configuring Emerson DeltaV DCS

* Diagnosing Industrial Network i.e. Profibus DP, Foundation Fieldbus, Industrial Ethernet, ModBus

Key Job Deliverables:

* Speedy Diagnosis and Repair of Faults

* Correct Configuration of Instrumentation Systems

* Installation of new Instrumentation Components

Background work experience:

* 5 years Instrumentation & Control systems

* 5 years Flow, Temp, Pressure Instruments/Sensors

* 5 years Emerson DeltaV DCS

* 5 years Industrial Network i.e. Profibus DP, Foundation Fieldbus, Industrial Ethernet, ModBus

* S4 Process Instrumentation & Control OR Trade Test N6 - Instrumentation

* Instrumentation & Control system Diagnostics and Repair

* Able to understand Instrumentation & Control as a System and diagnose the components and interactions between components

* Working with the various types of sensors for diagnostics

* Setup and configure Emerson DeltaV DCS e.g. Setup Alarms and Process Analysers

* Diagnose and repair Networking faults. Configure networking components.

* Advantageous: Major Hazard Zones - Zone Areas - 012, 20, 21, 22

Salary: Market Related. In the Range of R500K to R600K per annum. Highly exceptional more senior candidates may be considered.
